We had a great day celebrating the end of our Titanic topic with lots of fun activities. We made drawstring purses, built the Titanic using the construction materials, went to the ballroom to do some ballroom dancing and so much more! Everyone looked so brilliant in their costumes too!

Forest school week

Wow, what a fun week we have had! Whilst at school we have been taking part in lots of exciting activities including natural art, being nature detectives, creating habitats for animals and building a 3D model of Basing Woods, as well as much more! We were also lucky enough to enjoy yummy marshmallows toasted on the campfire.

On Tuesday we spent the day in Basing Woods, enjoying the great outdoors with lots more activities. We created animals out of clay, worked as a team to build some fantastic dens, went minibeast hunting and enjoyed some toast at base camp! It was a brilliant day and the children enjoyed all of the activities.

Royal Wedding day!

We had a great day celebrating the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Here are a few pictures of all of the fun things we got up to:

Tadpoles!

On our trip to Basing Woods this week, we went to investigate the tadpoles in the pond.  We enjoyed learning about the life cycle of frogs and how long it might take for them to grow into adult frogs.

Learning through play

We have been enjoying exploring and playing in the outside area and in the Titanic role play loft.

St. Lucia day!

What a great way to celebrate the end of our St. Lucia topic! Tasting exotic fruits and drinks, making colourful carnival masks and streamers, and a super steel pan assembly and workshop! The children (and staff!) loved being able to play these beautiful instruments.
