Squirrel Class 2025-2026

Welcome to the Squirrel Class page. Here you will find out about what we have been learning each week. We have P.E. and our library session on a Thursday afternoon and Forest School on a Wednesday afternoon. We hope you enjoy looking at our page as much as we have enjoyed the activities that we have been doing.

We have had so much fun during Arts week this week! We have danced like animals, created Marc Allante style squirrel masks using blow paint techniques, composed music and taken part in a Year 1 parade wearing our masks and playing our instruments. Well done Squirrels!

We have had a fabulous start to Arts Week today! In PE we thought about how we could use our bodies to move and dance like different animals.

We have had lots of fun learning about measure this week in Maths.

In Week 7 and Week 8 of our literacy we have been retelling the story of ‘Where the Wild Things Are’. We were even visited by a ‘Wild Thing’!

Squirrel class had lots of fun in forest school this week.

Year 1 had a visit from Tempis Fugit today who re-enacted the Great Fire of London as part of this terms topic.

Squirrels enjoyed our trip to the mud kitchen during our Forest School session this week.
