Squirrel Class 2020-2021

Welcome to Squirrel Class.

On this page you will find all the learning we have been doing in school! 
We have P.E. on a Friday afternoon and Forest School on a Tuesday afternoon. Please make sure you have the correct kit for these days.

We enjoyed our time outside bug hunting and climbing trees.

We had a great Forest School this afternoon.

Today we got a message from a Mr Wood saying there were strange noises coming from the woodland so we went to explore. We found a seal hiding in the shade and then we acted out how we were feeling.

We have had a fantastic book week. Have a look at the pictures to see what we got up to.

Today we conducted a gravity experiment to see what material would create the strongest bridge.

Today we worked in groups to research lots of different coasts and to find out if all coasts are beaches.

This week we are writing instructions about how to make a sandcastle. Today we thought about what steps we needed to take to build a sandcastle.

We had great fun during Forest School creating our own recipes in the mud kitchen and dragons breath.

We had a fantastic number day. We really enjoyed all our maths activities.

We practised our listening skills and done of us had a go at being conductors.

Today we investigated the effect of friction on how far a car travels.

We enjoyed acting out the story of the lighthouse keepers cat.

We had a fantastic Forest School. We climbed trees, went bug hunting And took a closer look and listen to our surroundings.

We have had a fantastic sports week this week. We took part in sports day and our teams were the Brilliant Blues and the Sunshine Yellows.

We had a great day celebrating Easter. We had great fun showing our friends our Easter Bonnet and even went on an Easter egg hunt.

We have really enjoyed all our Easter crafts this week.

We had a fantastic forest school where we pretended to be birds and made our own birds nests.

We had a great day for Red Nose Day!

We had a great forest school. We went on a bud hunt to spot the trees growing and had lots of fun in the mud kitchen.

We had a great World Book Day dressed as our favourite characters.

We had a fantastic forest school day back as Squirrels! We cannot wait for the rest of our friends to join us next week!

We had a fun week this week at home and at school.

This week we have been learning all about Maurice the Station Mouse and we have also been working hard and practising our division skills.

This week we learnt all about Morrison shelters and air raid sirens and had a go at making our own. We even wrote instructions of what to do when you hear the siren.

This week we have had lots of fun writing all about Rapunsel, learning how to tell the time and we found out lots of facts about WW2!

We have had lots a fun learning this week at school and at home.

What a fantastic first week of home learning! You have all made me very proud!

We had a great last day before Christmas! We got to see Santa and we even had a stowaway elf in one of our lunch boxes!

We had a fantastic Castles day where we learnt all about what life was like in Medieval times.

On Monday we came into class and found a dragon had come into our class and made a mess.

We have had a fantastic arts week this week! We have pretended to go to marnel circus, created posters and enjoyed our art, music and PE lessons!

We pretended to be trapeze artists and tightrope walkers.

We have had a great week in Squirrel class.

Today we came back from break time and found a wild thing has been in our classroom. He made a big mess.

We had a great time doing PE with Mr Murray. We made different shapes with our bodies and practiced our throwing and catching skills.

Another fun day in Squirrel class.

We had another really fun forest school afternoon today! We had a go at whittling wood and even tree climbing;. We really enjoyed being out in the sunshine.
