• New Role Play Loft Installed!

  Year R have finally taken delivery of their much anticipated role play loft! As you can see from the photographs in the home slideshow it has arrived! This was a bespoke made piece of equipment which will enhance the role play for the Year R children - giving them a variety of different levels and spaces for their play. By the time the children arrive on Monday morning it will have been transformed into a dinosaur museum!!

• Parent Questionnaire

  Thank you all for your responses to the Parent Questionnaire - we had 236 responses that the Governors and I are busily in the process of analysing these. In the meantime I have typed up all the positive comments and put them into a 'Wordle'. A wordle works by making the most frequently used words bigger. We are grateful for all the positive comments you gave us and are working on how to address the things we could do better! A full analysis and action plan will appear on the first newsletter of next half term. I hope you are all enjoying your half term break (and the sunshine whilst it lasts!).

• Theatre Visit

  We were delighted to have a visit from M and M productions on Thursday 23rd October (see pictures on the front screen). We were treated to a fantastic production of The Wizard of Oz! The children (and staff) thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the cast were delighted with the participation of the pupils. Mr May and Miss McCrae were also stars of the show (photographs to follow!). We have booked two more visits for this academic year. In January they are coming back to do Sleeping Beauty. Then in July the whole school will be treated to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe followed by a theatre workshop for the Year 2 pupils.

• New Parent Tours for 2015 - 2016 intake!

  We would like to invite parents of children who are due to start school in September 2015 to come and view what it's like to work and play at Marnel Infant School. This will give you the opportunity to have a tour of the school and talk to me and most importantly the children!

   

  We have a number of dates set aside - please call school to book a place. If you are unable to make these dates/ times please contact the school office to make an alternative date:

   

  Tuesday 7th October 9.15am

  Tuesday 21st October 9.15am

  Tuesday 4th November 6pm (there will be no children working and playing at this time!)
