• World Book Day! THURSDAY!

  Just a quick reminder to say that we are celebrating World Book Day on Thursday. We will all be dressing in book character costumes and carrying on with our week of fun filled book related activities. As we are doing Fairy Tales the day will centre around the story of the Gingerbread Man...my Mum has lovingly made 360 little Gingerbread men for the children to decorate. Thanks Mum!

   

  We look forward to seeing your children all in costume on Thursday as always if we can help in anyway please pop in and speak to your child's class teacher.

• Today we welcome Kaye Umansky, a children's author

  Today we are delighted to welcome Kaye Umansky, author of such books as, Pass the Jam Jim, Stamp Chomp Roar Here Comes a Dinosaur, and Pongwiffy. She will lead a whole school story telling. Then parents are invited (unfortunately we are unable to accommodate siblings) 2.15 - 2.55pm. Then Kaye's books will be on sale after school and she will be willing to sign the books for you.

  Marnel Infant School is looking a strange place today! There are lots of teachers dressed in 1940s clothing - apparently the threat of War on the home front has been raised and Key Stage One and their teachers are evacuating!

   

  As if that wasn't strange enough Year R teachers are dressed as dinosaurs...nothing more to be said!
