  • Family Self Isolation Information by Public Health England

Sat 21 Mar 2020 Miss Cox

    Dear all,

I hope that you and your families are keeping well. I came across the image below today which I felt explained more clearly the advice we are being given. Please remember that although the government has mandated that all schools close we are open every week day (8.40 -2:55) for key workers and vulnerable families so if you need any support please do not hesitate to phone or email us and we will get back to you. Stay safe.

  • Coronavirus Update 18th March

Thu 19 Mar 2020 Miss Cox

I have sent a letter today outlining how we will be able to support you in the coming weeks. As I have said in my letter if we can be of any help then the school office will continue to be open between 8.40am and 2.55pm and so the phones will be manned at this time. We will also be checking and responding to e-mails via the school office daily. We will happily drop food or work round to those families that are self-isolating and leave it on your door step.

    Best wishes and take care,

  • Coronavirus - School Response

Tue 17 Mar 2020 Miss Cox

    Dear Parents and Carers,

As you will no doubt be aware the guidance around Coronavirus (Covid-19) and school closures has, at the time of writing this, not changed. As a headteacher I am finding out information at the same time as you and we are reacting to and amending practice as the situation evolves. We are very vigilant with all our pupils and staff and should any contract a cough or feel hot we will ask for them to be collected and recommend 14 days self-isolation alongside any siblings. Currently we are fully staffed and so until the government direct us to close we will be remaining open.

May I take this opportunity to thank you all for your support during these unprecedented times. If you are concerned or need support please phone the school or e-mail us via adminoffice@marnel-inf.hants.sch.uk.

    With thanks and best wishes,

  • Power Outage Monday 9th March

Mon 09 Mar 2020 Miss Cox

Thank you for coming to collect your children. As you know it would not be my first choice to shut the school by any means, however we cannot operate the school without power. Southern Electric have now attended the school site to join the term time contractor. As soon as I have any further information I will send a teachers to parents.

    Best wishes,

    Miss Cox
