  • SCHOOL CLOSED - FRIDAY 18th FEBRUARY

    Thu 17 Feb 2022 Mrs Giles-Cox

Following a conversation with Marnel Junior School with regards to the scaffolding on the school site, and the advice we have been given, we have taken the difficult decision to close the school tomorrow. Work will be available later this evening on Education City. By 9am tomorrow Year R will have work on Tapestry and Key Stage One will have work on Seesaw. If you need the login for any of these then please e-mail the admin office adminoffice@marnel-inf.hants.sch.uk. This mailbox will be monitored by myself and the Senior Leadership Team. It is possible the power will be knocked out so if you are unable to complete this learning please do not worry. It is most important that you all remain safe and well. Thank you for your support and understanding in this difficult circumstances.  Mrs Susan Giles-Cox Headteacher.

  • Government Announcement

Mon 04 Jan 2021 Miss Cox

    Good evening,

We have all watched the briefing tonight by Boris Johnson. We are trying to send information to you however the school systems have been overloaded by multiple schools communicating at the same time. There is a critical worker survey below that we ask you to complete as soon as possible. We have had no guidance yet from the DfE.

Following guidance from the local authority tomorrow we ask that only children of critical workers who cannot find alternative care attend school. These children will be looked after by the teaching assistants. This is to allow us teaching staff to prepare the critical worker bubbles and the online learning to start on Wednesday. Tomorrow please login to Education City where there will be activities assigned.

Please complete the critical worker survey below:

    Best wishes,

    Susan Cox Heateacher

  • Family Self Isolation Information by Public Health England

Sat 21 Mar 2020 Miss Cox

    Dear all,

I hope that you and your families are keeping well. I came across the image below today which I felt explained more clearly the advice we are being given. Please remember that although the government has mandated that all schools close we are open every week day (8.40 -2:55) for key workers and vulnerable families so if you need any support please do not hesitate to phone or email us and we will get back to you. Stay safe.

  • Coronavirus Update 18th March

Thu 19 Mar 2020 Miss Cox

I have sent a letter today outlining how we will be able to support you in the coming weeks. As I have said in my letter if we can be of any help then the school office will continue to be open between 8.40am and 2.55pm and so the phones will be manned at this time. We will also be checking and responding to e-mails via the school office daily. We will happily drop food or work round to those families that are self-isolating and leave it on your door step.

    Best wishes and take care,

    Susan Cox
