Weekend and Half Term
Hello Brilliant Bumblebees,
So it is now the weekend and the beginning of half term.
We thought you might like some ideas of things to do at home over the next week :-) Please see the documents attached below :-)
Please keep uploading all the things that you have been doing.
After today I won't be replying until after half term as I am going to have a break (as ordered by Miss Cox :-) )
I hope you have a lovely time and I look forward to seeing the fantastic things you have been up to.
Keep safe and listen carefully to your adults
Sending hugs to all of you!
Miss Langdon :-)
Be an artist
Did you join Rob Biddulph on his world record attempt on Thursday 21st May? Wasn’t it brilliant; his drawings are so good! Let’s have a look at a few more of his amazing pictures that we could do… Head to Rob’s website and choose from his selection of pictures one you would like to have a go at. Don’t forget to share your drawings with us. We have been very impressed with all the art work we have seen so far; well done!
This week have a listen some stories all about dragons. Here are three super picture books about three rather interesting and very different characters. I wonder which one you will like best. Perhaps you could record a review and post it on Seesaw or Tapestry.
There is No Dragon in This Story by Lou Carter and Deborah Allwright
George and the Dragon by Chris Wormwell
Zog and the Flying Doctors by Julia Donaldson
Plan a Picnic
We have been very lucky to have such beautiful weather at the moment. Why not take your lunch or dinner outside and have a picnic. Why not make a selection of sandwiches, bake some cupcakes or cookies, pick some delicious fruit and something tasty to drink and pick up your picnic blanket and eat outside. Remember to wear some sunscreen if the weather is really hot and don’t forget your hat! You could take some outdoor games or bubbles for a bit of fun after you eat. Have a lovely time!
Invent Your Own Board Game
Why not have a go at making your own board game? Have a think about what type of game you want it to be. Will you roll a dice or will you spin a wheel? Design the board together with a grown up or your siblings. Make the rules that will need to be followed and then the game pieces that you will need. Play the game that you invented with your family. Coming up with the game and the rules you want to make is an awesome family activity. The results of your game will be so exciting to view and play.
Pine Cone Creature
You may have noticed that there are lots of pine cones around especially in the woods. Why not collect some and have a go at making a pine cone animal. Here are some ideas for you to try. I wonder what you will make!
Why not turn your living room in to a movie theatre or cinema. Choose your favourite movie, close the curtains and get comfy with cushions or pillows, blankets or even your duvet. If you are lucky your grown-ups might let you have some delicious cinema snacks too! I wonder what film you will watch. Perhaps you could leave a short review on Seesaw or Tapestry.
Sock Bubble Blower
All you need is an old sock, a small plastic bottle a pair of scissors, some washing up liquid and water. Make sure you ask a grown-up for some help and then have lots of fun in the sun making bubble snakes. I wonder ow long you can make yours!
Stay Active Outdoors
Why not dust off your skipping rope or football, bat and ball or hula hoop and practise some skills outdoors. Try beating your keepy uppy score or seeing if you can skip for a minute without stopping. Challenge members of your family to a competition. Don’t forget to cheer each other on and don’t give up just like Tigger!
