Thursday 2nd July
Hello thrilling Squirrels,
Well done for all your posts yesterday. You worked so hard and posted some amazing photos of what you were doing on Seesaw. We loved reading about what you might see hear or feel if you were like Zog and flew in the air. You stretched your words really carefully and wrote some amazing sentences using lovely descriptive language so well done! In maths, we asked you to collect objects which were heavier or lighter than each other even though they might be smaller or bigger. You found some interesting things and you used super mathematical language to describe them. We are very proud of all of your work.
Today in Literacy, we would like you to pretend you are visiting somewhere you enjoy going to and then write a postcard to somebody. You can describe where you are and what you are doing. We wonder where you will choose to go? In Maths today, we are looking at another measure, Capacity. Capacity is measuring liquids so we would like you to collect 5 containers before comparing how much liquid they hold. Your third activity is Music as it is Thursday and today we are listening to rainbow music. We are looking forward to seeing more of your photos, videos and drawings today on Seesaw.
Have you logged onto Education City this week? Please do if you can so your class might get Tigger on Friday. Read as many times as you can during the week and ask your adult to keep a note of this so you can tell your teacher. Your name may be on the school website if you achieve the next award. Very exciting!
Remember to have fun, keep safe and look after yourselves and always listen very carefully to your adults.
We miss you all and remember we are very proud of you all and what you are achieving.
Miss Spalding and Mrs Hudson :)
Welcome to Squirrel Class!
We are very excited to teach your children this year. If you have any questions please feel free to ask Miss Spalding or Mrs Hudson at the end of the day or write in your child’s reading diary!
A few reminders:
Our Library day is Tuesday
PE is on Thursdays
Forest school afternoon is on Friday
Please ensure that your child has the correct kit for these days. For PE they need a t-shirt, shorts and trainers and for forest school they need trousers, t-shirt, wellies and waterproofs.
We will be updating and adding lots of pictures of what we have been up to on this page too!
