Welcome to Rabbit Class!
Welcome to Rabbit Class we are very excited to teach your children this Year. If you have any questions please feel free to write in your child's reading diary or ask the teacher at the end of the school day.
Summer term
PE
Our PE day this half term is Monday, we are doing outdoor PE so make sure your child has warm clothes and outdoor shoes, please ensure your child has their PE kit in school all week and that all items of clothing including shoes are labelled clearly with their name. Thank you.
Library
Rabbit's library day is Friday. Please ensure your child's library bag with their library book is brought to school on Fridays for changing.
Forest School Lite
This term we will be spending Tuesday afternoons outside. Please ensure your child has a change of warm clothes and wellies, (sun hat and suncream if it is hot!) for this as we will be going out whatever the weather!
Topic
This term we are learning all about the Titanic through dance, history, art, music and Literacy. You can help your child by reading books from the library or looking at webpages for kids such as https://www.natgeokids.com/uk/discover/history/general-history/would-you-have-survived-the-titanic/
We are coming to the end of Year 1! We hope you all have a lovely summer holidays and come back excited for Year 2. We can't wait to hear what you get up to over the holidays. Remember to do some reading and use education city. There are some activities assigned that you might like to do. https://ec1.educationcity.com/
Dance Week
This week we have been putting together a dance ready for Titanic day. We have had a go at different dancing including some ballroom dancing! We can't wait for you to see it in a few weeks time!
Snowy fun!
Frozen yoga, snowball throwing, snowy art and snow angels...even the teachers joined in!! We're not sure who was having more fun!
Education City
This is our new online programme for children to complete their maths homework.

Every week a new homework will be set on a Tuesday. We will give our stars for all children who complete their homework. The programme is excellent and also has activities for English and science.

7.2.18 - Well done we had 12 children complete their homework this week and all received a sticker and a star on their star card! Keep up the great work!
24.01.18 Making journey sticks
This week we had some visitors to the classroom when we went out to playtime, they made an awful mess of our classroom!
