Our Trip to Popley Wood
WW2 Evacuation Day
Today was Science day at Marnel School! We took part in 8 different experiments or explorations in different classrooms. We learnt about magnetism, electricity, forces and density. We also had members of Reading University Chemistry Department join us and they showed us how to make crystals, how to change the colour of a liquid by adding different chemicals and how to set fire to custard powder!!! A big thank you to them for joining us!
Squirrel class are well into their new topic 'Pole to Pole' now and have been learning lots of new information about the Arctic and Antarctic. Please ask us about all the different animals that live there because we know all about them.
In maths we have been learning about multiplication and division and next week we will be tackling addition.
DON'T FORGET - Friday is 'Children in Need day' so please wear pyjamas, bring a teddy and a donation for the charity.

We have settled really well into Squirrel class and I am really proud of the way everybody is learning all the new routines and way of doing things. You should all now have a book to read at home and some new words to learn. Please practise every day and soon you will be off words :)
