Squirrel Class 2024-2025

Welcome to the Squirrel Class page. 

Here you will find out about what we have been learning each week. Our P.E. day is Wednesday, Forest School day is Thursday and we will visit our school library on Monday.

This week we celebrated Red Nose Day and raised money for charity.

During world book week we make kites inspired by the book ‘Zoe and Beans Pants on the Moon’.

Today is world book day! Over the week we have enjoyed loads of fun activities.

Today was NSPCC Number day. We thought about numbers, patters and completed challenges.

We are beginning to learn about World War Two so we were visited by Tempist Fugit to help us start our learning journey.

Today we were visited by the fire service.

It’s Christmas! Today we had lots of special visitors.

In literacy we have been reading about a mischievous dragon who likes to eat. This is us drawing some of the many creatures the dragon ate.

This week in History we have been spy’s! We have spied on different castles to see if we can remake them with all their important features. Here are some of us drawing what we saw.

This week we enjoyed the last of the hot weather outside in Forest School. We made habitats for insects and observed the frogs in their pond.

This week we have begun to learn our 5 basic shapes. Today we have learnt the star and straight shape.

School is back! In our first week in year One we have taken part in lots of different belonging week activities.
