We had a wonderful Science and Outdoor learning week

From Caterpillar to butterfly, time for Lion Class to say goodbye!

Pyjamarama day was a success and the children enjoyed lots of time reading and exploring books. We especially enjoyed our drawing workshop with Author and Illustrator Simon Murray.

We had an amazing time learning everything TITANIC today at the Sea City Museum. The children were superstars and had a great time...

We have had a great first week back, the children have been passionate when learning about the effects of pollution through the text ‘Clem and Crab’ and we had a wonderful time creating flowers using natural objects in our trip to the woods this week!

The children had a lovely last day of term celebrating Easter. Thank you for all the amazing eggs that you all made at home. Happy Easter and have a super 2 weeks off!

What an amazing day we had on St Lucia day! The children adored the steel pan drums and absorbed themselves into the activities on the day!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Red Nose Day..

We had an amazing trip to the Living Rainforest this week. We learnt lots about animals and plants you would find in the Rainforest and were extremely lucky to spot the sloth moving from tree to tree.

This week we found something strange under the cushion on Mrs Ruckwood's chair, its was a pea! This led us to learn about the pea and the princess as well as think about the perspective of the glass slipper in Cinderella.

We have had a wonderful first week back celebrating 'Book Week'. The children were wowed by author Andy Seed and have enjoyed interviewing animals and creating 'tranamilator' machines this week.....

This week we have been exploring the book ‘Sloth slept on’ and we have been exploring different non-chronological reports about rainforest animals. We enjoyed making bird feeders as part of Forest School too!

We have had an exciting week in literacy continuing to explore ‘The misadventures of Frederick’. Forest school was very chilly but the children still enjoyed making nests and climbing trees!

Great Fire of London Day...... the children had a wonderful time creating houses and watching them burn, just like the Great Fire in 1666.

We have had an amazing arts week exploring fireworks. Here are some of the things we have been doing....

This week we have been exploring Autumn poetry. We worked in small groups to collect interesting vocabulary using our senses...

This week in Literacy we have been continuing our Billy and the Dragon unit. We worked together to improve a piece of writing using interesting vocabulary.

Basing Woods - we had a wonderful time making pictures using Autumn natural objects.

In Literacy we have been exploring non - fiction texts. We identified the features and ordered mixed up reports.

When Samuel Pepys visited our school....
