Arts Week! This week we have learnt all about Diwali and how this is a celebration of light. Throughout this week we were artists, musicians and learnt about a Religion.

Today we have been learning how to safely and creatively use the gymnastic equipment. We have practiced making our five basic shapes on the equipment and how sequence our to movements.

We have been computer scientists and begun to think about how to make an interactive e-book. We have been practicing how to take videos of our friends saying an interesting fact about the Queen.

This week we have started to gather ideas to write a non-fiction pieces of writing about Portchester Castle.

We visited Portchester Castle today as part of out Monarchy Driver. We were very brave Piglets and took risks by climbing steep spiral stairs, as well as being a responsible Kanga and learning about the importance of protecting castles.

In literacy we have been reading the book 'Billy and The Dragon'. To make sure we understood the story we sequenced pictures and retold it to our friends.

As a class we enjoyed our first trip to Basing Woods. At the woods we observed what we could see, hear and smell.

We have all has a fantastic first week back at Marnel! This week we have thought about our British values and due to this have created a class charter to express our views on what our class rules should be.
