We had a lovely time in Forest School this week. We went on a nature walk to see the signs of Spring and we cooked up a storm in the mud kitchen, making lots of delicious meals.

We have enjoyed our first week of our new topic; Under the Sea!

We had a lovely time at the Cinderella Ball and loved showing all of our adults our dance!

We used different techniques and tools on the iPads to create the Three Little Pig’s houses.

We had a wet walk to Basing Woods this week to look for signs of Spring!

Our class poem inspired by Andy Seed. It’s called “I’m a dog”.

To end our Book Week, we had World Book Day where we created our very own animal poem like Andy Seed, we dressed up as our favourite book characters and made book worms. We had the best day!

What a brilliant first week back we have had! This week has been Book Week and we started the week meeting factual animal author, Andy Seed. We loved using his work to write about Deefur and Olive this week and we even managed to use Andy‘s tranimalator to translate their barks to words! We made our very own dogs using lots of different art techniques and our own tranimalators so we can translate what other animals say!

We really enjoyed using different tools on the iPad to create dinosaur pictures.

We’ve enjoyed creating our own dinosaurs this week!

This week we had our first trip to Basing Woods! The adults were all so proud of how sensible we were and we can’t wait to go again!

This week in PE we recapped the 5 gymnastic shapes we have learned. We then used different pieces of apparatus to put these into a sequence.

In Forest School this week we were thinking about Winter and different signs of Winter. We also made Cheerio bird feeders for the birds who visit our school.

We had a great last day of term! We followed a tinsel trail that led us to some amazing reindeer, then to the story snug where we received a special letter from Father Christmas and then we went through the snow to meet a very special visitor!

We enjoyed making delicious meals in the mud kitchen this week.

We loved learning about different countries this term and on Friday, we celebrated Around the World Day!

What a great day we had for Children in Need.
