This week in Literacy we found a chameleon living in the Woodland! We have spent time researching chameleons and then writing letters to the zoo. We decided to pack him up and send him back to the Rainforest. We then read a story about a sloth that also got lost...

Hedgehog Class have had a great last week of term and enjoyed a very lovely final day filled with lots of Christmas fun! We followed the tinsel trail around school which led us to a very special visitor (via Zoom!) in the hall who gave us all gifts, we met lots of farmyard animals and ended the day with a Christmas picnic in the classroom. Merry Christmas to everyone, see you in 2022!

What a wonderful final week we have had. We had a brilliant (and very sunny!) Forest School session this week; making mud pies, bird watching and lots more. Have a great half term Hedgehogs, we are so proud of you!

We had an exciting visit from the Fire Service this week. We learnt all about how to stay safe and about the different emergency services.

This week in Science, we conducted our first experiment to help Mrs Harmon. She needed us to investigate which materials would protect her crackers from breaking in her lunchbox. As Scientists, we made predictions, conducted a fair test and then wrote up our experiment. Take a look at our pictures to see which material protected the cracker from smashing!

We have had another great week in Hedgehog Class! In PE we have been learning the 5 basic gymnastics shapes ready to use the apparatus next week!

This week has been another great week in Hedgehog Class. At the start of the week, we had a visit from Samuel Pepys and then on Thursday we walked to Basing Woods for the first time and explored with our friends!

We have had such a wonderful first week in Hedgehog Class. We have been busy getting to know our new friends, teachers and classroom as well as taking part in lots of fun activities! Well done everyone :-)
