Water Tank for Kenyan Link School
Mr. Richard Genn from the charity Kenya 2020 visited school last week to talk to the school council about how we could support our partner school Kombe. He explained that in order for them to have access to clean water they need to have a large water tank that will collect rain water in the wet season. The cost of the tank will be £800. We raised £64.06 at our Christingle service and £114.66 at our first Nativity performance. So we are only £621.34 away from our target. Performance two - we raised a further £100. Performance 3 - we made £120.64. Performance 4 we made £80.15. Performance 5 - we made £128.28. Performance 6 we made a record breaking £149.24. Performance 7 we raised £80.73 (with only 2 classes of parents!). I am pleased to announce that our final total was £1000! This will allow the charity to buy a new water tank and put guttering around the building to make the very best use of the tank throughout the wet season. We thank you so much for your support and generosity.
