Hedgehog Class 2025-2026
Welcome to the Hedgehog Class page. Here you will find out about what we have been learning each week. We have P.E. on a Tuesday afternoon and Forest School on a Wednesday afternoon. We hope you enjoy looking at our page as much as we have enjoyed the activities that we have been doing.
Year 1 Curriculum Meeting
We were shocked to find that something had been in our class and made a rather big mess. We looked for clues and found a rather large footprint, we then wrote about what it could be using adjectives and conjunctions to write our sentences.
In Science this week we carried out an experiment to see which materials absorbed the most water.
In Science we explored materials and their properties. We found lots of objects in the classroom.
In Literacy we watched a fire being put out safely by Mrs Wheaton. Using our five senses we will create our own poems. We will be using our knowledge of what we noticed when the fire was put out.We collaged our own fire and wrote descriptive words to describe the fire.
Hedgehog class have been using practical resources, to work out their tens and ones in Maths..
In Literacy this week we explored our senses and poetry, ready to write our own poems.
In Literacy we acted out Goldilocks and the three bears. We are enjoying our Literacy learning so far this term.
