We’ve had a very busy and fun week! We had our first sport’s day and all did amazingly. We’ve had fun in forest school creating mini beasts and identifying trees. We also set up a cafe in our classroom where we paid for biscuits and drinks!

We’ve had a fun Sports Week getting into our teams and practising all the activities. Although rain stopped our actual Sports Day we’ve still had plenty of chance to exercise, talk about staying healthy and learn all about Usain Bolt! In other exciting news our Caterpillars became beautiful butterflies and we were able to release them into the wild!

We really enjoyed our Under the Sea Day. We all looked fabulous and got stuck into all the activities with full enthusiasm. We made jellyfish biscuits, telescopes, starfish and played with sea creatures in the water. We also went on a treasure hunt and followed the clues to find real treasure! What a great way to end our topic. Have a happy half term break!

We went on our first ever school trip to Southsea Aquarium this week. We had so much fun seeing and learning about all different sea creatures. We enjoyed a picnic lunch outside where we got to play before heading back to school on a big coach. All the grown ups thought we did amazingly well and were very proud of our behaviour!

Wow! Although it’s only been a 4 day week we have been so busy in Ladybird class. We continued working hard in literacy retelling the Rainbow Fish, we made our own seed bombs in forest school and practiced programming the Beebots in ICT! We also received some new visitors in our class - 5 tiny caterpillars that we are going to look after and watch grow into beautiful butterflies. Watch this space for updates! 🐛🦋

Ladybird’s have enjoyed a sunny week in school. We started our new “under the sea” topic and enjoyed retelling the story of the Rainbow Fish along with lots of other fun activities.

We have had a great Science and outdoor learning week!

Happy Easter! We followed lots of clues to find some chocolate eggs left by the Easter bunny! We also had fun doing other Easter activities!

The highlight of our week was our wonderful Cinderella ball! All the ladybird children dressed up and looked amazing. They danced beautifully and were so happy that we had lots of grown ups come to watch.

What a busy week we have had helping the 3 little pigs rebuild their houses that the wolf blew down. We’ve written letters, drawn maps and enjoyed the sunny weather! We also had fun on Red Nose Day dressed in red and sharing jokes!

Ladybirds had a fun and busy week when we discovered there was a troll under the bridge outside! We did a lot of fantastic learning and ended with a disco and biscuits for earning our class treat. Don’t worry - the troll has gone now in search of billy goats!

We had a fun week In ladybird class playing with friends, being creative and identifying human and physical features in our environment.

Brilliant book week!

Happy New Year! Ladybird class have had a great first week back. We created and performed our own dinosaur poem in literacy wearing masks we made. In science we went on a winter walk where we found patches of ice. It was so cold we could see our breath!

We have had a fantastic week before Christmas. We performed in our first ever nativity and were amazing! On the last day of term we went on a tinsel trail, saw real reindeer and even met Father Christmas! See you all Next year!
